After our free consultation, this package will provide you with three prenatal visits, labor and birth support, and five postpartum visits, as well as quick access to my resources and lending library, knowledge and information throughout pregnancy, plus hands-on support during labor and delivery.
During your prenatal visits, we will talk about your birth goals, get to know each other, talk about your rights and options, create a birth plan if desired, practice comfort measures to be used before I arrive during your labor, discuss who else will be there to support you and how we can all work together, and optionally discuss previous births, potential triggers and past traumas, and make a game plan should things go differently than hoped. You can message me any time with questions, borrow books and request resource links for research, and vent about the frustrations of pregnancy. During your labor, I will stay with you from the moment I arrive after your call until 1-2 hours after your birth. I will provide comfort measures during contractions, massage and other techniques to relax between them, positive affirmations, suggestions to help with labor progression, bring you drinks and snacks, and work with + encourage your significant other so that he can play an active role in your labor support (if desired/available).
During your postpartum visits, I will help assess your baby’s latch, do weight checks, troubleshoot newborn care struggles, give you a massage, do chores for you, prepare a nutrient-dense post-birth healing meal, and visit with you about what else you might need to achieve the best support I can provide. Options for additional support include meal prep, deep cleaning, entertaining kids and/or baby so you can shower and rest, supplement container filling, nursing area organization, meal train creation, and anything else you can think of that can help you focus on healing.
If the postpartum visits provide the support that you need more of, additional postpartum doula services are available to purchase in multiple package sizes.
